Training for eco pedagogical territorial animators.

Territorial animator is a new job that rises. Wich competences are required in an ecological way ? The Institut d’Eco-pédagogie (Liège – Belgium), experienced a new training curriculum in 2009-2010, based on a theoretical reflection in my research field about the criteria to recognize a social group with a common territorial intelligence (in a pedagogical sense). Furthermore, the results of the Topozym project and a recent analysis of the practices in 20 territories in Walloon Region give us a good view of the weaknesses and of the needs in terms of training. So, some usefull recommandations occurs.

This communication proposes a theoretical and methodological framework for a research which finds its place in the project “new-LIFE” responding to the topic “Europe moving towards a new path of economic growth and social development” of the last call for project of the 7th Research Programme of the European Union published on July 20, 2010. After broadly featuring the concept of territory, we intend to review the state of educational research around the “school and territory” issue, still a blank spot a in educational sciences. We shall review the rural specificities in the education for sustainable development throw schools ecomobility projects. we shall rely on the OER-OET and ANR ED2 AO studies.

Après avoir rapidement caractérisé les notions de territoire, nous faisons dans un deuxième temps un point de l’état de la recherche en éducation sur la problématique générale « école et territoires », « point relativement aveugle » des sciences de l’éducation. Nous abordons les spécificités rurales sur l’éducation au développement durable, à travers les projets d’écomobilité scolaire. Nous nous basons sur les travaux de l’observatoire de l’école rurale – Observatoire éducation et territoires (OER-OET), et sur ceux de l’ANR ED2AO.

Territorial identity, a semiotic approach to a situation of cultural mediation

De l’identité territoriale, une approche sémiotique d’une situation de médiation culturelle.

La identidad territorial, un enfoque semiótico a una situación de mediación cultural.


This work is taking place in the formation of territorial intelligence systems and producing information in an organizational perspective. We investigate here a cultural mediation in a constructivist “global” approach, in other words, contextualization, interactions and representations of actors. This will allow us to highlight the difficulties in producing acts of mediation in situations open to all and the importance of the situationnaliste study in any act of mediation.
