The objective of the research is the development of an information system in order to support small and medium sized enterprises of Greek gold and silver ware: the creation of an information system offering on the one hand guidelines on the optimum location of the gold and silver enterprises, on the other hand norms and standards for organization and design of their locales will contribute to create a favorable environment minimizimg obstacles (land-use constraints, transportation costs, etc.) and promoting the idea of an ecological entrepreneurship and innovation. The research focuses on the interdependence of parameters such as location, production activity, environment, culture and on the improvement of this interdependent relationship through integrated innovation.

Does the local embeddedness of energy production contribute to sustainable rural development? Some evidences the spreading of wind energy parks in Belgium.

L’implantation locale de production d’énergie contribue-t-elle à un développement rural durable? Quelques évidences sur la propagation de parcs d’énergie éolienne en Belgique.

Contribuye la implantación local de producción de energía a un desarrollo rural sostenible? Algunos evidencias sobre la propagación de los parques de energía eólica en Bélgica.

The spreading of wind energy parks through countryside is a spatial redistribution of energy production, especially in countries in which nuclear plants were the main places of energy production. This redistribution should be a way of diversification of countryside activities and should contribute to sustainable rural development. Nevertheless, conditions for sustainable local development are lacking frequently due to inappropriate national and regional governance, lack of local initiatives, difficulties for local actors to invest collectively.

The paper is based both on an international state of art concerning wind farms financing and governance arrangements and on five case studies of wind energy parks in Belgium. It scrutinizes questions regarding initiative of wind energy parks, sharing of benefits, local economic development, especially concerning new jobs, and main difficulties for an associative and locally embedded wind energy park.

Territorial animator is a new job that rises. Wich competences are required in an ecological way ? The Institut d’Eco-pédagogie (Liège – Belgium), experienced a new training curriculum in 2009-2010, based on a theoretical reflection in my research field about the criteria to recognize a social group with a common territorial intelligence (in a pedagogical sense). Furthermore, the results of the Topozym project and a recent analysis of the practices in 20 territories in Walloon Region give us a good view of the weaknesses and of the needs in terms of training. So, some usefull recommandations occurs.

After broadly featuring the concept of territory, we intend to review the state of educational research around the “school and territory” issue, still a blank spot a in educational sciences. We shall review the rural specificities in the education for sustainable development throw schools ecomobility projects. we shall rely on the OER-OET and ANR ED2 AO studies.

Après avoir rapidement caractérisé les notions de territoire, nous faisons dans un deuxième temps un point de l’état de la recherche en éducation sur la problématique générale « école et territoires », « point relativement aveugle » des sciences de l’éducation. Nous abordons les spécificités rurales sur l’éducation au développement durable, à travers les projets d’écomobilité scolaire. Nous nous basons sur les travaux de l’observatoire de l’école rurale – Observatoire éducation et territoires (OER-OET), et sur ceux de l’ANR ED2AO.

Depuis une quinzaine d’années, ces territoires connaît de profondes mutations. Les milieux ruraux font face à trois grands enjeux de développement territorial : le phènoméne de l’exode rural,  la déstructuration et la dévitalisations des territoires et du milieu rural ainsi que la dégradation du cadre physique et naturel.
