The caENTI wish you a Happy New Year

Since the beginning of the caENTI action in March 2006, we implemented the consortium management and its communication means, whilst starting the research activities. The year 2007 aims at integrating these research activities to outline a virtual European laboratory.

In August 2006, the activity tools suggested specifications for a European guide of needs diagnosis pour and of services evaluation. It makes a synthesis of the guides that have been used since 1989 by the caENTI partners, in coherence with the European standards.

The specifications to make a "Catalyse toolkit" which exploits the information that were gathered thanks to this guide were drafted in 2006. These tools will be published online in 2007.

The activity methods made a first inventory of the research protocols and generic instruments of analysis of the territorial information to provide tecnological solutions to design tools. I twill be widened to a European inventory in 2007.

In parallel, the activity governance a started thinking on the research-action practices that inspire the territorial governance and that respect the sustainable development. In 2007, it will suggest ethical principles and standards, for the research-action and for the tools of Territorial Intelligence.

The first International Conference of Territorial Intelligence that was organized by the caENTI in September 2006 in Alba Iulia (Romania) gathered a hundred researchers.

The call for communication of the conference of 2007, which will take place from October the 24th to October the 27th in HUELVA (Spain), will be published at the end of January. The caENTI is associated to numerous scientific events in 2007: international conference “Territorial intelligences, regional identities and sustainable development” in Fisciano-Vietri from May, the 9th to May, the 12th 2007, Sixth Days ICT and Territory in Lyon (France) on June, the 14th and 15th 2007…

Lastly, the Internet portal http://www.territorial-intelligence.eu has been active since March, the 1st 2006. Its contents are translated in eight languages. The cooperative space CooSpace was opened before the planned date (June 2006); a new multilingual version was placed at the disposal in December 2006. In 2007, the Territorial Intelligence website will evolve towards a more alive version.

The project of network of excellence ENTI at the horizon 2009, in the framework of the 7th ¨PCRDT, stimulates our coordination effort by an integration will that aims at better articulating the research programs of the partners and their complementary activities: project of European master, editorial project, development of transfer activities, etc.

The year 2007 will be very active for the researchers and the actors in Territorial Intelligence!
