Strasbourg 2010: ecological and social innovation

The 9th international conference of territorial intelligence will be held in Strasbourg the 18th and 19th of November 2010. Its purpose shall be ecological and social innovation, gathering three themes of communication:

• A – Theoretical reflections about ecological and social innovation
• B – Analysis of concrete experiences of ecological and social innovation
• C – Recommendations for supporting ecological and social innovation

The submitted papers will be received on or after June 5, 2010 until July 30, 2010.

Submissions will be evaluated for September 5, 2010.

This 9th international conference of territorial intelligence is both organized by the Relais emploi de Strasbourg and by the European Network of Territorial Intelligence, ENTI. ENTI gathers in Europe and in the world 26 research teams and 16 territorial actors whose Relais emploi de Strasbourg. This conference wishes to give an important place to the public, private and associative actors of the sustainable development of territories, in particular in the framework of the themes B and C, concerning respectively analysis and dissemination of the innovating practices.

This conference is part of the European research project "Future jobs for a better life", suggested for FP7 European research in the theme “Creating and adapting jobs in Europe in the context of a socio-ecological transition”.

A recent report by the European Commission, “The World in 2025”, cries out for a socio-ecological transition to address the worrying decline of jobs in Europe, greatly exacerbated by the current crisis and suggests to take advantage of environmental and demographic challenges to invent a new mode of development...

Registration

Registration to the conference should be done using ConfTool, the conference management system. To be able to register for conference participation you need an account in ConfTool (you do if you submited a paper)
