Banks and credit cards

Opening hours are usually from 9:00am to 2:00pm everyday of the week. During summer, they are closed on Saturdays. Spain adopted Euro in year 2002.

Travellers’ cheques and main credit cards are accepted in almost all shops, hotels and restaurants and they make possible withdrawing cash money.

Post office

The post offices, named “Correos” are opened from Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 2:30pm and on Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:00pm. The main offices in large cities and airports are opened 24h/24. The stamps “sellos” are also sold in tobacconist’s shops “estancos”.

Shopping

Stores are generally opened from 9:30 or 10:00am until 1:30pm and from 4:30pm to 8:00 or 8:30pm. However, more and more stores remain open during lunchtime and in the afternoon. They are closed on Sundays.

Food

Huelva is strongly influenced by its past and its geographical situation and has a long gastronomic tradition and raw materials which will satisfy the most demanding tastes. Fish and seafood, of an exceptional quality, have a dominating position in the gastronomy of Huelva.

Climate

The moderate Mediterranean climate prevails; it is characterized by dry summers and winters with balanced temperatures. Spain enjoys more than 3.000 hours of sun each year.
