Editorials> Job-LIFE: objective of the research axis {job systems}Blanca Miedes | 02/06/2010 3:53 pmAfter a paper about the main objectives of the project Job-LIFE and another one about the research Axis {life quality}, the present editorial introduces a second research axis of the project: {job system}. It was elaborated in the Framework of the project " Future jobs for a better life " (Job-LIFE), which is an answer of the ENTI to the call for project of the 7th Framework Program for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities of the European Union FP7, in the theme “Socio-economic Sciences and the Humanities” in the topic “Creating and adapting jobs in Europe in the context of a socio-ecological transition”. This axis “Territorial job systems, innovation and governance for creating and adapting jobs in the socio-ecological transition”, will focus on the identification of territorial trends of creation and adaptation of employment in the framework of the current socio-ecological transition. It will address positive experiences of social and ecological innovation and discuss the characteristics of territorial governance of employment systems in order to detect those that are potentially favorable to the creation and the adaptation of jobs in this new context... |

Focus> Job-LIFE>axis {job systems}> work package [governance]ENTI | 11/06/2010 5:32 pmWPBGO : [governance] (led by Mihai Pascaru) Complexity affecting territorial labor systems functioning and the importance of involved policy makers and stakeholders to cooperate in fostering employment development, WPBGO aims to provide meaningful up to date knowledge about territorial governance uses in UE and to analyze their effects in futures jobs creation and adaptation. In a comparative way, first step will be the stock-tracking of actual knowledge about current European models of territorial governance of employment problems: institutional frameworks and legislative development. Secondly, it will be identified in each model the role of institutional evaluation of territorial employment policies as input in the processes of decision making. Lastly lobbying process in decision making and its impact on local labour system will be addressed. > Job-LIFE>axis {job systems}> work package [innovation]ENTI | 11/06/2010 4:59 pmWPBIN: [innovation] (led by Jean-Guy Henckel) This Work Package aims to firstly make an inventory of all the social and environmental innovations, especially within the third sector (a field that gathers very varied economic initiativesthat belong neither to the capitalist field nor strictly to the public sector) firstly in Europe and then at the international scale. On this basis, the WPBIN will review the available documents and proposals concerning innovating initiatives and then debate their relevance and innovating dimension. Then, this Work Package team will lead a reflexion on the means to convince civil societies, economical and political stake-holders to get involved in the development of innovating actions, so as to disseminate innovation in all the human activities and consequently to participate to the socio-environmental transition launching. Simultaneously, the WPBIN members will draw a definition of an “innovating project” and make a repertory of the European innovating initiatives, which will be scientifically studied. > Job-LIFE>axis {job-systems}>work pakage [systems]ENTI | 11/06/2010 4:21 pmWPBSY: [systems] (led by Blanca Miedes Ugarte) This Work Package aims to establish a framework and a methodology of analysis and monitoring of European territorial (local, subregional, regional) labour systems based on the principles, concepts and tools of territorial intelligence (Caenti, 2009). The object is territorial actors and Policy makers better to identify the territorial trends of jobs creation and daptation in the framework of the socio-ecological transition. The evolution of the so called “green jobs” will be specially focused with the purpose of addressing main different territorial trends in jobs and skills depending on social, economic, environmental and political context. Territorial actors’ and policy makers’ needs will be most important drivers of this WP whose final objective is to create an European model of territorial employment observatories. |
