Le paysage, outil de médiation du projet territorial : Comment les jardins prennent leur place dans le renouvellement urbain. DENEF Julie

Résumé : A partir de l’histoire de jardins collectifs destinés à disparaître dans le cadre d’un projet de renouvellement urbain, cette recherche met en lumière un mode d’habiter en associant l’analyse spatiale et un travail sur les récits des jardiniers. Le croisement des représentations des acteurs impliqués nous éclaire sur les conditions du dialogue autour du projet. Il précise aussi les critères pour intégrer les jardins au projet institutionnel et les jardiniers dans le processus. Dans cette démarche, le paysage, entendu comme représentation et expression du territoire, est utilisé comme un outil de médiation du projet à mettre en oeuvre. Les jardins prennent ainsi leur place dans le projet de renouvellement urbain du quartier qu’ils enrichissent dans ses dimensions spatiales et sociales.

Summary: This research, based on the story of some collective gardens that an urban renewal project foresee to suppress, associates a spatial analysis and a work about the gardeners’ stories to bring to light their way of life. Crossing the representations about the gardens makes clear the conditions of the dialogue between the actors and clarifies the criteria of integration of the gardens in the project and of the gardeners into the process. The concept of landscape, used as territorial representation, appears as a useful tool which facilitates the mediation among the actors of the project. Finally, this experience shows how the collective gardens, like the other open spaces of the district, are a stake of an urban renewal project in spatial terms as well as in social ones.
