The structure
Tunghai University, located in the city of Taichung, is a private university founded in 1955. For five decades, it has been one of Taiwan’s educational pioneers. This comprehensive university includes six Colleges (Agriculture, Arts, Engineering, Management, Science, Social Sciences) and a combined student body of 15,000 undergraduates and graduates. With over 600 faculty members, the University offers 33 undergraduate majors, 35 master degree programs, and 11 doctoral programs.
The ISSP, Information System for Social Policy Unit, is affiliated with the College of Social Sciences, Tunghai University. The ISSP is an interdisciplinary research team which include faculty members of sociology, public administration, social work and information technology departments. The team is set up to explore the advantages of interdisciplinary strength by aiming at the research issues beyond the scope of any single discipline.
