Since the eighties, Valdocco Foundation and associated entities work in the field of social and occupational integration of disadvantaged people in Huelva.
Tierra Nueva Association, one of the associated entities, was at that time the only actor working in this area. Valdocco Foundation was built in 1995 targeting “complete prevention and promotion of the family, childhood, youth, disadvantaged groups and social exclusion through their social and occupational integration, professional training, employment, human and cultural promotion. Spatial development actions and international cooperation for development” Valdocco Foundation is classified as Charity and Care Foundation by July 16th 1996 Ministerial Regulation.
Huelva Town Council, Provincial Government, El Monte Foundation and Tierra Nueva Association constitute its Council. It has received the highest distinction (Gold Medal) of Regional Government of Andalusia in Social Affaires.
