The structure
The Office for Economic, Regional and Rural Development (OERRD) and the European Development Office (EDO) are the two branches of the Assembly of Baranya County. Those offices perform close cooperation actions within the regional county development framework.
Their priority tasks include:
- Drawing up of development strategies and operational programms.
- Providing micro-regions with information, professional counseling, etc.
- Project management of territorial development.
The OERRD keeps direct contact with micro-regions within the county and actively co-operates with various departments of the University of Pécs, and researchers from the Centre of Regional Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
