LinkCity, Innovative Governance of Urban Diversity and Social Cohesion, FP7 Large scale integrating project

Twelve European research groups and four territorial actors, from eleven different member states, have submitted a research project (LinkCity) to the last call of proposal for Social Sciences and Humanities of the EU 7th Framework Program of Research, Technological Development and Innovation. The project has been coordinated by the University of Huelva (Spain), with the support of the scientific committee of INTI (International Network of Territorial Intelligence, GDRI INTI). The framework of this proposal is Activity 8.2: “Combining economic, social and environmental objectives in a European perspective: Paths towards sustainable development” within the Area 8.2.2 “Regional, territorial and social cohesion”. And the specific topic is SSH.2012.2.2-1. Challenge: Governance of cohesion and diversity in urban contexts.

 

 

GDRI-INTI International Research Group "International Network of Territorial Intelligence"

GDRI-INTI, International Research Group “International Network of Territorial Intelligence” started January 1, 2011, for four years, at the end of an international scientific evaluation organized by the CNRS. It gathers seven research teams from five countries: MSHE, ThéMA and ESO (France), OLE (France), SEGEFA (Belgium), DISUFF (Italia) and TAG (Argentina).

Its main aim is the consolidation of the integration of European researches in Territorial Intelligence in order to give them an international dimension.

The next scientific events of ENTI, in Pecs, Marne-la-Vallée, Liège and Gatineau will be the opportunity to restructure the research project of ENTI by deepening the work plan of new-LiFE.

ENTI, "European Network of Territorial Intelligence", is a structure opened to all those who wish to contribute to its program of research which is conceived around three axes and around three transverse themes.

     

Three axes, defined by the board of ENTI in continuity of the caENTI "coordination action European Network of Territorial Intelligence" (from March, 2006 to February, 2009) are:

  • [ Territories] Territories as place and territorial intelligence as mean of the socio-ecological transition and of the combination of economic, social, environmental and cultural objectives of sustainable development
  • [ Indicators] Accessibility of the indicators of the sustainable development for the territorial actors, scientific generic methods and action tools for indicators analysis
  • [ Governance] Territorial governance for sustainable development

Three transversethemes are:

  • [ Vulnerability] Vulnerability of territories and vulnerable populations
  • [ Culture] The culture as fourth objective of the sustainable development of territories
  • [ Gender] Gender and sustainable development of territories


 

 

 

> Journal of Territorial Intelligence

The Journal of Territorial Intelligence includes articles of its field as it emerges from the current caENTI meetings. It is especially linked to the sciences of territories, dynamic analysis of space, methods and tools for territorial observation, the governance of territories, sustainable development and all the phenomena of information and communication constituent of the reality of an intelligent territory.

 


> European Master of Territorial Intelligence

The universities of Besançon (France), Huelva (Spain), Liege (Belgium), Salerno (Italy), Pècs (Hungary) and Alba Iulia (Romania) are associated to provide to students a master’s degree in Territorial Intelligence. This master’s degree will give students the opportunity to study in several partners universities according to the chosen specialization and will have professional or research orientation.
