Dear participants

I hope you came back home without any problem.

I thank you for your participation to the conference of territorial intelligence Besançon 2008. It gathered more than 230 participants and more than twenty nationalities, in Europe and beyond. Since Saturday, I received many positive comments on the communications quality.

This conference was broadcasted on Internet. The conference blog received more than six hundreds visits from many countries. Feedbacks and slide shows are stocked there and the debates continue on this place.

This conference ended the coordination action caENTI, which will finish on February 2009. It also aimed at prefiguring a more ambitious European project, like a network of excellence. I received many queries regarding this issue. More than ten teams suggested to welcome seminars to prepare this project during the next two years. You will be regularly informed on the website http://www.territorial-intelligence.eu and by email.

We are also already working on the acts publication. The end of the caENTI that will take place soon (February, 28th 2009) obliges us to make this edition in very short delays. That is why we asked you to send us your communications before the conference.

The caENTI steering committee adopted the following calendar:

1.  You will be able to modify your articles, especially according to the debates of your workshop, by November, 3rd at 9h00. If you consider your article is definitive, I thank you to inform us by email at  besancon2008@mshe.univ-fcomte.fr, so as we can work on the following steps (the articles pattern is available on the territorial intelligence portal and on the conference blog).

2. Then, the communications will be evaluated with a doble blind process (that is to say in an anonymous way by two scientific evaluators) in November. The objective is not to reject some articles but to improve their quality if necessary (the evaluators will possibly indicate to the authors improvements to be made on the article).

3. The acts will be published on-line in English on December, 15th-20th . The translations in French and Spanish will also be published.

4.  We will have to publish the acts under the form of a printed book by January, 30th.

I thank you again and I transmit you my best regards.
